General Summary

Are you driven by strategy, structure, and ensuring value through well-managed procurement processes? As a Parks Strategic Sourcing Agent, you will play a key role in sourcing and managing suppliers to support Oakland County Parks operations and development in alignment with established purchasing policies and procedures. This position focuses on administering complex and high-dollar procurements, advising departments throughout the sourcing process, and ensuring fairness, transparency, and value in every solicitation. Your work will directly support efficient operations through disciplined procurement practices and informed decision-making.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers to procure goods and services with an optimal balance of cost, quality, and value.
  • Administer complex and high-dollar formal solicitations, including developing specifications, evaluation criteria, and pricing matrices.
  • Negotiate contract terms, monitor supplier performance, and manage risk in accordance with County policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reports and contract information to support procurement strategies and contract portfolios.

Required Minimum Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  1. Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in business administration, Supply Chain Management, public administration, or closely related field of study.
  2. Have at least six (6) years of full-time work experience in a purchasing department.

Pay Range

USD $77,841.00 - USD $104,291.00 /Yr.
