General Summary

Do you enjoy blending technology, problem-solving, and justice-focused work? Under general supervision, you’ll support the technology and data needs of the Pretrial and Justice Services division. You’ll serve as the key liaison between the division, Information Technology, and outside agencies, helping ensure that systems, data, and software tools function smoothly to support essential operations.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Pretrial and Justice Services, IT, municipalities, and local agencies
  • Collaborate with IT staff on server issues, system functionality, passwords, and equipment replacement
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of case management software
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for equipment, software development, and system upgrades
  • Train staff on hardware, software, databases, and case management tools
  • Develop and maintain user manuals, instructions, and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot technical and data-processing issues using your software expertise
  • Collect, analyze, and resolve technology-related service concerns and complaints
  • Generate statistical, demographic, and operational reports using database programs
  • Design and update promotional and informational materials for distribution to courts and the legal community
  • Write and edit publications and program materials for community outreach
  • Maintain statistical content on departmental display boards
  • Regularly update databases to provide accurate and quantifiable program data
  • Utilize Countywide and department-specific software to complete assignments

Required Minimum Qualifications

What You'll Need

  1. a. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
    b. Have had at least two (2) year of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades;

    OR

  2. a. Possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
    b. Have had at least four (4) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades;

    OR

  3. a. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development test.
    b. Have had at least six (6) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades.
