General Summary

Do you enjoy clerical work that directly supports the court system and the public it serves? As a Jury Office Clerk, you will play an essential role in the jury process by assisting prospective jurors, attorneys, and court staff. From scheduling jury duty and processing excusals to checking in jurors and ensuring accurate records, your work helps ensure the fair and efficient operation of the judicial system. This is a detail-oriented position where strong clerical skills, accuracy, and professionalism make all the difference.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct initial screenings for jurors requesting excusals and process related documentation.
  • Prepare and send jury summons, check in jurors, and coordinate scheduling of jury duty.
  • Provide information and assistance to jurors, attorneys, and members of the public.
  • Perform specialized clerical duties, including filing, maintaining records, and preparing correspondence and reports.

Required Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

  1. Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test.
  2. Have had two (2) years of responsible full-time clerical experience.
