Are you ready to take on a leadership role where strategy, safety, and quick action come together? As a Risk Security and Executive Protection Specialist with Oakland County, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting people, assets, and operations. From high-level executive protection to threat analysis and emergency planning, your work will directly impact on the safety and resilience of our organization.

1. Possess an associate’s degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Law Enforcement or closely related field.
2. Have had at least four (4) years of full-time experience as a criminal or other investigator, Executive Protection, security/asset protection, or police professional, or other closely related field.
3. Possess a valid motor vehicle or chauffeur's license with satisfactory driving record.
4. Have not been convicted of a violation of criminal law.
5. Able to legally possess/carry firearm; must obtain Concealed Pistol License within 90 days of hire.
6. Must successfully complete professional EPU training within 180 days of hire, or as soon as practicable.
7. Must successfully complete firearms training within 180 days of hire.
8. Must complete advanced Behavioral Threat Assessment training within 180 days of hire or as soon as practicable.
