General Summary

Want to lead a team making a real difference in public safety and rehabilitation? Join Oakland County as a Pretrial & Justice Supervisor, where you’ll oversee daily operations, ensure program accuracy, and serve as a key link between the courts, law enforcement, and community partners.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Set daily priorities and guide the work of Pretrial & Justice Specialists.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of reports and statistical data.
  • Oversee the operations of Pretrial Services Units and Program.
  • Prepare and present program statistics to county officials.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, courts, attorneys, and partner agencies.
  • Promote the use of Pretrial & Justice within the criminal justice system.
  • Use county and department software to manage assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  1. a. Have a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related areas;
    AND
    b. Have had three (3) years of full-time casework or related work experience involving interviewing, investigating and counseling practices, procedures, and techniques.

    OR

  2. a. Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related areas;
    AND
    b. Have had four (4) years of full-time casework or related work experience involving interviewing, investigating and counseling practices, procedures, and techniques.

    OR

  3. a. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college of law;
    AND
    b. Have had two (2) years of full-time casework or related work experience involving interviewing, investigating and counseling practices, procedures, and techniques.

  4. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
  5. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical exam established for this classification.
  6. Successfully complete the six-month probationary period.

Special Requirements

Must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license.

Pay Range

USD $77,840.00 - USD $104,290.00 /Yr.
