Ready to lead the way in shaping Oakland County’s future? As the Manager of Planning & Local Business Development, you’ll oversee a dynamic team dedicated to strengthening local governments, supporting small businesses, and guiding smart growth across the region. In this leadership role, you’ll develop innovative planning and business development programs that serve communities, developers, and nonprofits. You’ll collaborate across departments, manage budgets, and ensure the successful delivery of services that make a lasting impact. With a focus on strategic vision and community partnerships, this role blends creativity, leadership, and public service at the highest level.
What You’ll Do:
Manage operations and staff within the Planning & Local Business Development Division.
Design and implement programs that support economic growth, community development, and sustainability.
Coordinate with internal departments, local governments, and regional partners to advance County initiatives.
Oversee state-mandated planning and zoning responsibilities, contracts, and interlocal agreements.
