General Summary

As the Administrator of Business Attraction, you’ll guide a team of professionals focused on bringing new business investment to the region across key industries like mobility, advanced manufacturing, digital tech, aerospace, and more. You’ll develop and implement forward-thinking economic development strategies, craft targeted marketing initiatives, and represent the County on a regional, state, and global stage. This is a high-impact leadership role where strategy meets opportunity, and where your vision can directly influence the County’s economic future. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the Business Attraction Unit, overseeing staff, budget, and program development. 

  • Design and implement targeted marketing campaigns to attract domestic and international firms. 

  • Build and maintain partnerships with key industry stakeholders, government agencies, and business leaders. 

  • Develop strategic plans and initiatives for high-growth sectors like automotive, defense, mobility, and tech.

Required Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

 

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Urban Planning, Economics, Public Administration or a closely related field.

  2. Have at least five (5) years of full-time professional work experience in the public or private sector in economic development, urban planning, real estate development, industrial development, international business attraction and retention or a closely related area, at least two (2) years of which involved responsible supervisory or administrative duties in one or more of the areas listed above.

Special Requirements

  1. Must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.

  2. Must maintain a valid U.S. Passport.

Pay Range

USD $98,767.00 - USD $132,329.00 /Yr.
