General Summary

Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things organized and running smoothly? Oakland County is looking for detail-oriented, tech-savvy individuals to join our team as Micrographic Equipment Operator I. In this vital role, you’ll help preserve essential County records by converting documents into secure microfilm and digital formats, supporting departments across the County with reliable access to their archived data.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate specialized imaging equipment to scan and convert paper documents to microfilm and digital files.
  • Review completed microfilm to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain detailed records and organized archives for easy retrieval and long-term storage.
  • Support key County projects by scanning and indexing large volumes of documents.
  • Use modern software and tools to manage digital imaging workflows and ensure proper recordkeeping.

Required Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

 

1. Be a high school graduate OR have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Test.

2. Must have six (6) months experience in the operation of microfilm, scanning, printing or photo equipment
