Announcement Information

This is a part-time non-eligible position limited to 1,000 hours per year. 

General Summary

Under limited supervision, provides safe and efficient transportation for program participants, group rentals, and other public audiences as needed. Utilizes skills to manage safe transport of a variety of park vehicles including, but not limited to buses, vans, stages, boats, etc. May assist P&R staff with recreational program activities and special events dealing with general park visitors, citizen volunteers, or special events for all groups. May work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  1. Must possess a valid United States Commercial Driver’s License with “A” OR “B” AND “P” endorsement with airbrakes. Out of country driver’s license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver’s license before the hire date.

    NOTE: When assigned to tow the Showmobile must have a CDL “A.”

  2. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.

Special Requirements

  1. Must maintain a valid United States Commercial Driver’s License “A” or “B” with “P” endorsement with airbrakes to drive buses and “A” endorsement to tow Showmobile.

USD $16.88 - USD $19.86 /Hr.
