General Summary

Under close supervision, researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist legal counsel. Researches and analyzes sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions and legal articles, to prepare legal documents such as briefs and pleadings, for the approval, and use by an attorney. Assists in the preparation of motions, trial binders and briefs. Keeps files of all documents and correspondence important to the assigned matter. Attends court to assist attorneys. May be required to travel to and attend offsite meetings or alternate work locations. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
