General Summary

Provides a variety of administrative activities for the Water Resources Commissioner's Office management team. Reviews and approves vendor invoices, and functions as a contact for vendors. Assists in the development of the division budget including the creation, use, and refinement of computerized information systems for use in budget recommendations. Assists with the division's Quality System and Safety Programs. Assists in a variety of other special projects, some of which may require visits to field sites Prepares for and facilitates regular meetings pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field of study.

    NOTE:
    Applicants possessing transcripts from a college or university outside of the United States will be required to provide documentation of degree equivalency from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (http://naces.org/members.html). The degree evaluation will be required for application processing.

  2. Have two (2) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: customer relations, budget preparation, general accounting, legal/paralegal or related area.
  3. Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license. Out of Country driver’s license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver’s license before the hire date.
  4. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.
  5. Successfully complete the six month probationary period.

Special Requirements

Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.

Pay Range

USD $63,666.00 - USD $85,300.00 /Yr.
