Under limited supervision, performs unskilled manual work required in the general maintenance of grounds, buildings and equipment located in various County-owned parks. Cleans and prepares work sites and cleans machinery, tools and equipment. Tears out walls, partitions, pipes and related structures for building alterations. Drives various vehicles used for transporting work crews, materials and equipment to and from work sites. May assist higher level maintenance employees in performing rough and finish carpentry, masonry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, and other duties involved in the maintenance and development of park facilities. Because of the nature of the services provided by the County parks, employees may be assigned to work at any of the Oakland County parks and may be required to work afternoons, midnights and/or weekends.

1. Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license.
