Provides direct oversight of the Building Safety Shift Leaders and the Communications Unit. Advises and assists the Division Manager with the general operation of the Safety Division. Responsible for the staffing of a 24/7 operation including hiring and evaluations. May perform first response basic firefighting and emergency first aid to assist in emergencies. Prepares and assists user manuals, training guides, detailed procedures as it relates to safety operations and emergency -preparedness. Assists with the writing and developing policies, procedures, and guides for the safety division. Responsible for the collection, retention and reporting of the Division’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day to respond to emergency or disaster situations as needed. Utilizes current countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
At the time of application all applicants must:
1. Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or closely related field.
2. Have at least five (5) years of full-time work experience with increasingly responsible experience in a law enforcement agency, security company, or safety division.
3. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
4. Successfully pass a criminal background check.
College Transcripts
