General Summary

Performs common custodial duties designed to support a clean, healthy, safe, and organized work environment for Oakland County facilities and property. Sweeps, dusts, and damp/wet mops floors. Vacuums carpeting, dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture and fixtures, and empties wastebaskets. Cleans and stocks restrooms with supplies. Moves furniture, supplies, and equipment, and unloads and stores custodial supplies delivered to building. May be scheduled on a day or afternoon shift.

Required Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

 

1. At least 18 years old and a high school graduate; OR have completed the State requirements for a G.E.D. certificate; OR be an emancipated minor at least 16 years old.

 

2. Have had at least three (3) months of full-time custodial experience.

 

3. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical established for this classification.

 

4. Successfully complete the six month probationary period.
